Produced at the Long Warf Theatre in Connecticut under the title Sunday’s Child, and The WPA in New York City.

A new stepmother elicits the help of a slightly unorthodox family counselor after she the death of her three year old stepson’s playmate (from falling down the stairs)… and she believes that her stepson is responsible. What transpires is a psychological mystery between the stepmother, her husband, the counselor and their child (who is never seen, but always felt and heard). What did actually happen? Can a child be evil? Who is responsible? What does it mean to be a parent? What are the qualifications? The responsibilities of being a parent as well as the damage that can result from being psychologically unable to be responsible — and how that informs the family dynamic and each member individually, is explored.
